Penny Fowler has been with the F.L.Wright Foundation since 1986. She provides close oversight of the use of Wright's designs for the Foundation's licensing program and research assistance to academians and visiting scholars, among others. In this book she investigates the artist's innovative graphic work, placing it within the context of such contemporary aesthetic movements as Arts and Crafts, Japonisme, Bauhaus, and De Stijl.
